City of lights-Perth
Tuesday, October 14, 2008 by James David
Perth is called as the 'City of lights', for the residents lit their houselights as American astronaut John Glenn passed overhead while orbiting the earth in 1962. And this city is not all about heritage buildings, museums, parks, but is a city that is bustling with wide range of shops, malls and markets. Then there is the Perth Concert hall, where one can enjoy various theater, opera, and ballet etc.
Once in Perth, the CAT, i.e. Central Area Transit buses, makes life easy for tourist to explore the best of what this City of light has to offer. One can travel around popular spots such as Swan River, WACA stadium, Kings Park and North bridge. North of Perth is called North bridge which is the heart of the entertainment. There are also many splendid restaurants in central city of Perth and around Swan River, serving Australian, Italian and Asian food. Besides there are plenty of lavish parks and gardens too.
